Flaxseed Oil

Flaxseed oil

It is a rich source of the essential fatty acid (EFA) named alpha-linolenic acid, or ALA. Such EFAs are essential for hair health. People who lack these often have problems growing their hair. EFAs help forms the structure of every hair cell. The ALA in flaxseed oil can help block the enzyme called 5 alpha-reductase, which converts the testosterone into the male hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is a male hormone, or androgen, that blocks hair growth cells.

You can start by wetting your hair lightly in the shower and dry off the excess water so that it does not drip. Pour a small amount of flax oil into your palm and with gentle massaging strokes, apply it all over your scalp. Let it stay overnight and wash off the excess oil in the morning.
