What is contouring makeup ?Contouring is when you use matte beauty product that is two shades darker than your original skin tone to highlight or reshape the facial structure through makeup.

Why is contouring your makeup important?

Contouring with makeup adds more dimension to your face by adding shadows and highlights, playing up your cheekbones and even reshaping your nose. Professional makeup artists have been using contouring for years. It can be so effective that contouring is often the secret glam factor in the gorgeous red-carpet looks of many celebrities.

What You’ll Need:
Olay Total Effects BB Day Cream
Bronzer
Blush
Highlighter Brush
Angled Contour Brush
Fluffy Blush Brush
1. Prep Your SkinBefore you start with the process of contouring, it is wise to prepare your skin with Olay Moisturizing Cream. Just take a little moisturizer and apply it evenly on your face.

2. Choose the Right Color for You Choose a bronzer a couple shades darker than your natural skin tone. Stick with a matte bronzer, as opposed to one with shimmer, since it will be used to create depth and sculpt the face.

3. Find Your Contours Apply bronzer along the hollows of your cheeks (the best way to find the right spot for application is to make “fish lips”). Follow the line in a crescent shape — be sure it’s somewhat parallel to the jaw line and reaches up to the hairline.

4. Sweep on Blush Using a round blush brush, apply blush to the apples of your cheeks and back toward the temples. This area should be right above the bronzer application to ensure a seamless blend.

5. Blend Once you have the blush in place, use the blush brush to blend the bronzer and blush together using a circular buffing motion. This step is important, as you don’t want obvious lines across your face where one ends and the other begins.

6. Highlight Those Cheekbones The final step is highlighting to bring out the cheekbones. Apply the highlighter directly on your cheekbones, just above the blush. Your cheekbones are located at the highest part of the outer cheek, just below the eye.
